Chilean law regulates internships (aprendices) in detail (specifically in Articles 78 and on of Código del Trabajo). Interns must be 21 years old or under and must be part of a trainee program. There is no minimum wage. The maximum term of the intern’s contract is two years. A maximum of 10% of a company’s workforce may be employed as interns.
